Bottle Rockets

While working the pastures, you might find some junk and lots of debris but you might also be lucky enough to stumble across some gems. I call these pasture treasures. Most of the bottles we’ve found are decades old, well preserved and filled with dirt. After some research I’ve learned that the bottom of the bottles can tell a lot about the history of the bottle. The year, the manufacturer and where the bottle came from can be determined from the series of numbers or symbols under the bottle or jar. We’ve found snuff jars, medicine bottles, alcohol bottles, etc. There’s a lot of research out there and it can lead you down many rabbit holes. More to come on bottle specifics!
